Hi Bruce,

I forgot to Time-Stamp that e-mail.

I sent it out just a few minutes
after he had made his posting.

Just took Yahoo a few days
to make the delivery < g >

Thanks,

Steve:
You called it. Tim and I both responded.
Both you and Tim made a great point, though... While
API calls still
work about the same, there is far less reason to use them.
Consider that
Win API calls are made in VB6 when the language simply
doesn't provide
programmatic access to the functiosn you want (you can't do
that in VB, but
you can use this here API call....)... Iun a sense VB was a
API to the
API.
The .NET framework now gets at a lot of the stuff that you
used to
have to use api for... so you will likely use a LOT less
API. The cost is
having to learn more objects and methods.. But heck... those
are easier to
use that api calls, anyway, right?

Joe,
1.	I think so. We discussed it here.
2.	Many of the API Calls, and many of the
very long code modules we use to write
are now built right into the Framework.
				( I saw that in a discussion thread )

Tim and Bruce can probably give us better information.

Tim, Steve, All,

In .Net:
1.) Do we still use instances of forms?
2.) Do we still use API calls?
3.) Can errors occur in the imports statements?
4.) Can errors occur in the inherits statements?
