Under the Build menu of .Net 2005, there are the following
menu items:
Build Solution
Rebuild Solution
Clean Solution
-----------------------
Build "myprojectname"
Rebuild "myprojectname"
Clean Selection
What is the difference between all those menus? They all
seem to
be different ways to say and do the same thing.

Build Solution will
compile only those project files and components that have changed since the
last build.
Rebuild Solution will
“clean” the solution first by deleting any intermediate and output
files, and then builds all the project files and components.
Clean Solution deletes
any intermediate and output files, leaving only the project and component
files.
As you can see they are very different commands in what they do
especially as your solution grows into one with many contained projects and
associated components.
