| We have a legacy app
that currently uses HE v6x with HLLAPI to screen scrape with no problems. When
we install / configure HE v11 we see slow response
times during execution or our logon dialog script for
HLLAPI.
When run via the
script fields are populated one character at a time, with a notable pause
between characters. Once the logon dialog is completed, the application seems to
work OK.
So, why are we
getting these pauses? It is too slow for us to implement.
Additional
info:
--We see the pause
when issuing a dialog statement such as "SEND HOME 'CICSxxx'
ENTER"
--We are setting
FLICKER(1) in our script, but changing this setting seems to have no
effect
--We can manually
type text into the same session at real-time speeds
--an EHLLAPI trace
suggests that the entire screen is being reinterpreted (??) after each character
is entered
Any help on this
would be greatly appreciated.

BTW: we need v11 for
SSL, but the problems above occur using SSL or standard
telnet
