Hi Stephen,
I would suggest you review the HostExplorer programming help and
take a look at the WaitPSUpdated method. Using the WaitPSUpdated method
will allow the host and your script to properly synchronize. Using the
WaitIdle method is not very accurate.
The HostExplorer programming help, “heprog.chmR21;, by
default in version 10 is in the following folder:
C:Program
FilesHummingbirdConnectivity10.00HostExplorerSDKHelp
We also have a document called “Writing Applications to
Automate Host Interactions” available on the Connectivity Support Knowledge
base, here is a direct link to the document: http://connectivity.hummingbird.com/alt_content/binary/pdf/support/nc/WritingApplicationstoAutomateHostInteractions.pdf
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards,
Yozana Grabois.

Subject: Version 10 screen
scraping difficulty
I have been using
version 6 of Host Explorer for years on several computers that run Host
Explorer by automation using VB for screen scraping. I recently got a
brand new computer with version 10 of Host Explorer loaded on it and now am
having a great deal of difficulty with automation and screen scraping.
For example, the screens do not change when they are supposed to after
receiving a RunCmd ("Enter") at the appropriate screen and
time. Even if I include a WaitIdle (2000) afterward, I do not
get a screen change. I never had this problem in version 6 and I
didn't use the WaitIdle command. Does anyone have knowledge about
whats going on with version10?
