Joe,
Looking at HELP on that dialog, I think HB is talking about
the Windows
"system" going into SLEEP. HELP says that the
default is to Ask User.
I just changed mine to NO with the understanding that if my
system attempts
to go into sleep while I'm connected, sleep won't happen.
As for your disconnects, I'd look at the system log to see
if the sessions
are being timed out by the host. For example, a TSO user
would be canceled
via x22 - maybe a 522. Also in TSO, if a user immediately
logs back on,
he's likely to be able to check the SYSOUT of his last
session
(jobname=userid), and see if the host blew him away.
I'm very interested in being able to reconnect to TSO from
dropped VPN
connections, and we're having no luck doing this. This can
be very costly
when we have several ISPF screens open. Our only recourse
is to destroy
the whole TSO session in order to log back on.
Good luck, and let us know what happens.

We have some scattered HostEx users who recently have
reported tn3270
inactive timeouts. We're not sure of all the details at
this point but
it doesn't look like anything host server or application
related.
Is there any kind of new inactive timer in HostEx that could
cause
tn3270 timeouts?
Beginning in V10 we see Connection-Other options referring
to "Sleep".
Anyone know what these do?
Thanks and regards,
Joe
