I don’t know if it’s considered
bad form to post a “thank you” to the list. ; But tough.
You all are going to get one anyway – moderators willing. I really
appreciate the links, explanations, and direction provided. Thinking I
was going to jump back into Basic programming after quite a number of years hiatus
211; well…; the world apparently marches on.
Just a brief explanation (perhaps as a way
of introduction as well), I do a *lot*
of work with terminal emulation software. And up until very recently I
used Attachmate products and was a fairly proficient CASL programmer. If
you laid a banana on my CRT, I could write a CASL program to peel it. But
along came Hummingbird, and suddenly I’m confronted with this new-fangled
Basic. I217;ve got a lot of catching up to do. The responses I
got on this list are putting me well on my way of getting there already.
