Hi there,

I have checked out bongo from svn last night. Compilation and Setup (prefix is /opt/bongo) went fine without any problems. Bongo-Standalone works perfectly, but I don't seem to be able to get it running with my Apache.

Mod_python and the Bongo Virtual Host is activated, the Login screen shows but login fails miserably.

The Logs say:

ERROR: Exception GET /user/rupert/preferences/dragonfly.json:
MochiKit.Async.XMLHttpRequestError: Request failed: HTTP Error: 500/
(http://bongo/js/lib/MochiKit/Base.js:1077)

ERROR: Error loading preferences: MochiKit.Async.XMLHttpRequestError: Request
failed: HTTP Error: 500/ (http://bongo/js/lib/MochiKit/Base.js:1077)

Louis mentioned on the list yesterday, that recent versions of Hula were broken for Apache but that this was fixed in Bongo.

Any ideas, anyone? Let me know, if you need config files or logs....

Thanx,

Joe

You seem to have run into the most common problem with
setting up
Dragonfly. Error 500 seems to imply to me, though, that
either your
python setup is broken, or your apache config is.

This page might help:

ting

If not, have a look in the Apache log. There's likely a
Python backtrace
in there which will help figure out what's going on.

Cheers,

Alex.
