Subject: Export command line
excel.exe
I am trying to export query results
to an Excel workbook. I217;ve set up a button using the ‘Edit
Button217; wizard. ‘Output to’ selecting
‘ApplicationR17; and then selecting the ‘Export Options217;
wizard.
In the ‘Application217; box
I have specified Microsoft Excel
On the ‘Execute command
line’ I have excel.exe followed by a space and the path to the workbook I
am saving to. Here in lies the problem. The excel.exe part of the command line
is supposed to open Excel before the path to my workbook opens the workbook I
want.
How do I program my machine to
recognize ‘excel.exe̵7; is the command to open my Excel?
If I program in the path to Excel
(C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftOfficeXP\Office10\Excel.exe) it works, but I am transferring
to another machine and want to use the shortcut ‘excel.exe̵7; and
would rather use this in the command line so I don’t have to go back and
reprogram all my buttons.
