I’ve not seen the process you
mention doing this, but I have seen on a couple of sites CRUSADE.EXE maxing out
the CPU for periods of time.
We are using Bi/Server 8.5.1.6

Subject: BI/Web Server -
pi_client_adapt CPU usage
[BI
Web, Query 8.5.1.9]
We
have experienced 2 occasions where the CPU usage on our only BI Server has been
constantly 80-90% for a long period of time 12+ hours (until manually
intervention).
A
quick glance at the Task Manager reveals 3 instances of the
"pi_client_adapt" process, each retaining a constant 25% CPU usage.
(D:\Program Files\Hummingbird\BI\BI-QueryServer\pi_client_adapter.exe ?)
Stopping,
Starting BI services and processes using Stop85.bat and start85.bat (provided
by HB) does not resolve the problem. Of course, a reboot did resolve the
issue each time.
I
know this isn't much to work from, but has anybody else seen this at all?
Thanks
much… mob
