Event: Register Now: Tutorials at Archiving 2007

The IS&T Archiving 2007 Conference held in Arlington, VA
May 21-24 will begin May 21st with a full day of two and
four hour Tutorial Sessions taught by preeminent subject
experts and covering topics in:

- Digital Formats: (JPEG2000 and other popular formats; PDF
& PDF/A; Using JHOVE)
- Introduction to Repositories (Digital Curation Centre
Self-certification toolkit; PREMIS Data Dictionary)
- Understanding Imaging Science (Introduction to Image
Science; Color Image Workflows) 
- Imaging Performance & Digitizing Negatives (Evaluating
scanner/camera performance; Digitizing negative collections)

- Conservation of Special Media: (Motion Picture Film and
Videotape; Digital Prints)  

You can register for individual or multiple tutorials.  You
do not need to register for the conference in order to
register for a tutorial.  IS&T reserves the right to
cancel classes in the event of insufficient advance
registration. Please indicate your interest by April 21.
