ipe snap to grid

is there any reason why the minimal snap-to-grid size is
4pts?  Or can
I change it somewhere?

one way is to save the following lines as smallgrid.xml

<ipestyle name="smallgrid">
<grid name="1 pts" value="1"/>
<grid name="2 pts" value="2"/>
</ipestyle>

and add that file whenever needed using Edit -> Style
sheets.

the 1-pt grid is not visible at the initial resolution of 72
dpi.

Thanks! Seems like Ipe is fully customizable, if you know
the codes to use...
I love it even more now...
