Hello Associate,
We have an urgent need for 3 Performance Engineer/Java Architect consultants

Location: NJ

Duration: 12 months +
Start Date : ASAP.

Rate : Open

· Experience in designing, developing, and testing applications in multiple system environments.

· Combines multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions.

· Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions for the application environment.

· Understands the various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage.

· Can design an entire system configuration including hardware, software, and

communications.

· Can lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation.

· Can work with various platforms, including mainframes, minis and micros.

· Can define a total disaster recovery plan and present the client with various options. Applies, as appropriate, activity and data modeling, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods, and performance measurement techniques.

· Provides technical direction to personnel performing systems analysis and system/ subsystem development tasks.

· Coordinates and performs logical and physical systems design.

· Reviews and prepares system documents and specifications.

· Prepares reports, studies, and documentation, delivers presentations, and participates in meetings

· Evaluate and performance tune new and existing systems and architecture

including Java, .NET, and VB based business critical systems.

· Role involves working in a leadership capacity within the Global Performance Architecture CoE, working alongside various key organizations; Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Web Development, DBA, Middleware, Network, & PMO/Compliance to performance tune systems architecture and design strategies.

Performance Experience -

1. Minimum 4yrs experience using Client-Mercury LoadRunner (standard

industry performance tool) to tune Java, WebSphere, and Winsock/DCOM

based systems.

2. Working knowledge using WebSphere performance monitors (Tivoli), and

Wily (CA)

3. Exposure to regression testing tools; i.e., J2EE diagnostics, QTP,

Quality Center, WinRunner, network delay monitor

4. Experience working in middleware (WebSphere) Production support or

Architecture role Organizational & Personal Skills:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with Enterprise Architecture and

management

2. Coordinate, manage, gather requirements across a matrix environment

including Project Management, Business Analyst, Developers, Architecture, and Infrastructure (network, middleware, database, and Unix/Wintel systems admins).

3. Direct and develop testing strategy, performance scripts,

validate/analyze results, and contribute to root cause analysis and resolution

Pluses (if candidate has any of the following exp.) –

1. Ability to install WebSphere Application Server v6.x on Solaris

v9/10 (Unix)

2. Ability to perform general WAS, deploy EAR/WAR, update property

files/user access, start/stop processes, configure and tune WAS during performance tests, check/install fix packs, research issues log files. Working knowledge of Solaris, Wintel, N-tier architectures, and OSI model networking concepts.

3. Java (preferred) development background.

General Skills:
