Who has lost the plot about updating IBrowse 2.4 ?

OS4 pre4 install prog strongly advises us to setup the system on an empty
partition (and/or to totally erase previous setup during the installation).
So did I. I then quickly understood that the IDE part that came with pre4
was messy and had to be updated. So did I. I recently read (here) that one
should revert to OS4 pre3 AsyncWB in order to lower the number or crashes.
So did I. Apart from this, I decided to use OS4 system the way it comes
with pre4 I don't want to work and hear, on next update, that all I did is
to be erased. In other words, I basically use the system the way it come
with pre4 update. So, reading your above statement, I just wonder if you
mean that OS4, as delivered with pre4, is unusable?

I wonder what you mean by using IBrowse for 5 hours a day... We certainly
must not have the same needs for using IBrowse.

If I'd have IBrowse surf the net randomly on for tabs, continually, with
OS4, A3060 or Amithlon, I'd have to reset OS4 between 6 and 20 times before
having to do so on both other setups.

Definately not, I use OS4 pre4 as it came (I have updated the IDE driver). I
have not changed anything else, well except for updates to other programs
from Aminet and OS4Depot. I haven't had any crashes from OS4 or IBrowse for
a long time.

What I am suggesting is that the fact that OS4 and IBrowse work prefectly
(no crashes) on my and many other systems, that maybe there is a conflict
with something on your system that maybe I don't have. Therefore the problem
probibly is not one of IBrowse. As it is almost impossible to now what
everybody's system has on it, you can't expect perfect compatability to
every system out there.

I use it as it is ment to be used.... Looking at web pages, visiting forums,
downloading files ect, ect.What I would like to see fixed more than anything
else is Grphical Printing.

I never have to reset OS4!
