I agree I have not said anything new, but then I/We have not had a
reply from the author who might.

That was also discussed to death, recently. I think, by now, many of us
realise that many us would like to see a new release, would like it to
not be in three years time, and would like the author to be more
forthcoming. While the delay is annoying, and occasional stirring of
the pot is to be expected, and probably needed, the same thing several
times a month is a waste.

There's no need to CC us these messages, nor send the same thing a few
times, we're on the mailing list. I'm seeing several of the same
messages.
