hello,
Development Radar:
561 issues open (24 assigned) and 942 blown away
what mean ??? need to wait untill issues goes to 0 again :(
IMHO, more clear with the old version on the previous ibrowse-dev site.
we could s ee ICE and Ibrowse separately.
hope there will be a 2.41 version for printing postscript for the users who
need that since long time ;)
bye

As I have said before, people should not read much into these numbers -
obviously, if the threads on Amiga forums are anything to go by, not many
people paid attention
The numbers now correspond to the whole database, and not just the 2.4
section. The important thing to remember is that these are "issues" and
not necessarily bugs. The majority of them are feature requests, CSS and
DOM support, and basically anything else that was beyond the scope of 2.4.
All known major bugs were fixed for 2.4, of course. 561 issues have not
got to be resolved before 3.0 is done - just as with 2.4, issues beyond
the scope of 3.0 will be postponed until 3.1 or later. We use the issue
tracker to log moreorless anything we think of, so that it does not get
forgotten, and will therefore be addressed sometime.

As I mentioned in another thread, postscript printing will not be updated
until 3.0 at least, because then the HTML layout engine will be rewritten
again, and therefore the PS layout engine will need to mirror that.

i thought to be the only one thinking that such a thread, was a bad, bad thing.

just to let you know that there are MOS (even on Classic) users also over here, with the new
Trance (thanks to Santa), IB2.4 is rock solid and fast.
Thankyou very much to you Oliver, Stefan, Dave, David and All the ones who have
contributed (betatesters, translators etc)
Have a nice Holydays

| Ibrowse 3.0 for morphos? |

1.
I am wondering. Will IBrowse 3.0 be native for both AmigaOS4 and
MorphOS or just OS4?
2.
IBrowse 2.4 runs very smoothly. I had to change the icons to iff24 in
TvPaint. There should be
32bit icon support for AmigaOS4 and MorphOS
3.
Have a great Christmas! And thanks for this update!
Regards,
Michal

This makes sense to me. Much as I want printing, there is no point in
wasting precious time in patching up an old system.
The new layout engine needs to be able to lay out for either screen
display (low res, allows scrolling) or print (high res, fixed page
breaks). So it will need some thought.
Let's just hope it doesn't take another four years.
Regards

Maybe. At this time, just OS4. I think MorphOS will just be too
unstable on my BPPC to compile the whole of IBrowse - I have a tough
enough time building javascript.library since MorphOS tends to hang
halfway through compiling :(

Why not for us Amithlon users?
