There is no reason why every program has to behave in exactly the same
way. Each program has its own special requirements. It would be
pointless to try to make the interfaces for Lightwave, Pagestream and
TVPaint the same.

However, when two of the most used programs have a good feature,
hopefully any others that have read-only text windows might imitate
them. That would be, other browsers and email programs.

The Amiga Style Guide book is quite thin and was IMO only intended as a
first rough draft. It should not be taken as 100% compulsory.
