Did you ever notice that most parts of AmigaOS are protected against
accidental actions caused by a lazy/clumsy user that did a
click-move-release operation with the mouse?
Clicking a gadget, moving the mouse away from the gadget, then releasing
the mouse button results in NO action. Menus work in the same way. Only
in MUI and text.datatype it doesnt work, there you accidently overwrite
the clipboard. And in text.datatype its IMHO worse than that because
you have the MultiView menu which suggests copying is done with RAmiga-C
and marking is done with RAmiga-B which mismatches the text.datatype
behaviour.
When the user really wants to shoot itself in the foot with an accidental
click-move-release action he should not be allowed to do that by default
IMHO, such a feature should either be removed or only be available by
explicitly specifying it in an advanced settings menu. Which seems to
be the case in IBrowse now, so from my point of view we can stop the
discussion.
