Hello,

I am a developer working on an application to transcode an
audio data
stream to the RealMedia format.  I have a few questions 
related to the project regarding the HelixProducerSDK.

1) Can you use the SDK with RealProducer Basic or do you
need the Plus
version?

2) Our audio stream (input to Producer) is encoded using
standard audio
codecs (PCM, u-Law, ADPCM, etc.) but the steam is a 
proprietary/non-standard format.  Is it possible, using the
SDK, to add
to Producer the capability to transcode this data?  If so,
how
difficult will it be?

3) Looking through the SDK documentation, it seems that the
appropriate
method to add alternate input capabilities to Producer is
through writing an input plugin.  Will it also be necessary
to write a
codec to decode our audio stream?

4) How are input plugins and audio codecs registered with
RealProducer?
I see where they are referenced in job and audience XML
files, but how
does the
application know what codecs/plugins are available?

5) Does using the Producer SDK allow you to have encoding
capabilities
in a custom application, or does it allow you to
modify/update the
behavior
of the RealProducer application.  Is there a way to use
encoding
capabilities provided by producer without having to use the
RealProducer
application?
