Brian,

Sorry for not explaining the question clearly. I think our
problem is this. we have multiple audience files (currently
3 only) we made ourself based on those coming with helix
producer sdk. When producer enumerates three audience files
(you can ask producer print out the way it enumerates), the
order of them changes with different machines, so we are not
sure which index is for which when we set the index in our
code for the encoding.
so, my original question is how to make the order of
enumeration deterministic (therefore, the index to indicate
which audience is fixed)?
thanks,

Frank,

not mistaken, those audiences can be deleted, created,
overridden
etc, if the user has helix producer. Thus, you can't rely
on them.

If I do understand what you are saying, you may want to
create some
yourselves and name them after your product. Then you can
install them
when you install your product. Thus, you can rely on the
one's you need
to have there, being there....

I'm sure Steve will correct me if I'm wrong about this.....

Thanks,
Brian

hi,

I like to know if there is a way to ask helix producer dna
to output the encoded file with name itself containing the
date and time, at which the file is generated or better when
the encoding is started? An example will be an encoded file
with name, ef_sept18_2007_0803.rm, which says it is encoded
at 8:03am on Sept 18, 2007. thanks,

Frank,
