Hi,
I am using helix producer to compare the live encoding
encoded with rv9 and rv10 respectively. It is CIF format
encoded at cbr 100kbps. As doced by many documents, the
quality of rv10 is much better than rv9. But there is one
strange thing that I don't understand between these two
codecs.
RV9's packetized output bitstream has much smaller variation
than RV10's packetized bitstream (only 1/3 in terms of
standard variation). The big variation of rv10 of output
bitstream can cause big trouble for narrow band transmission
between encoder and server.
Any idea why there is such big difference between rv9 and
rv10? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Frank
