Hi,
Helix producer sdk provides two ways of protection against
data loss:
1. kPropBroadcastFecPercent. How to set this parameter if
our channel from encoder to server has average packet loss
rate 20%? If I set it 25%, will it be able to compensate the
packet loss rate?
2. In encoding Audience file, there is tag,
<enableLossProtection type="bool">, if that
is set to be true, what protection is it supposed to do?
what is relationship to No. 1 protection? Is it
complementary or basically the same?
A more general related question is: will Helix producer
and server have any other mechanisms built just for
enhancing the reliability of UDP transmission such as
timeout, retransmission, detection of duplicate, etc.
