Hello.
I think that I better understand what happens then, and that
this is due to
image information which is kept. I am using "convert
-geometry" in fact, but
it is probably the same with all resizes apart of
-thumbnail. It really is a
feature and not a bug.
However, I would suggest to update the documentation to
explain better what
this option is for, and that about 15K will be won by adding
this option.
Also, some warning should be placed somewhere else so that
people are
directly aware of this feature and the pros and cons of it.
Especially in
the description of the -resize, -geometry, -size and all
other resize
options, a reference should probably be added to the fact
that '-strip' will
make the file size be 15K less heavy, this will help many
others I think.
