I built the lastest ImageMagick for my RedHat Linux i686 box
from source but after done the build my script could not
work well.
I also did the test '/usr/local/bin/convert logo: logo.gif'
and it took 15min to finish and then server became very
slowly. I checked the memory and saw it was reducing
dramatically and then just few minutes later the server
became unresponsable. It seems to be like in looping and the
memory could not be free.
The same if I put codes into my Perl script:
use Image::Magick;
my $image=Image::Magick->new;
The very simple script used lot of resource (99% of CPU) and
looping until server got down or be rebooted. If I remove
the codes above the script works fine and no problem (just
uses 0.1% of CPU)
My server info is:
Pentium 4 - 2.4Ghz
Redhat linux 2.6
RAM: 1GB
MySQL5, Perl5.8
Some old version of ImageMagick I used last time was fine
from the source build but this is the first time I've met.
Have any report about this issue?
