Converting only part of a PDF file to JPGs

Hi,

I am trying to use "convert" (command line) in
order
to create JPG images of the pages of a PDF file. 
The PDF file contains many pages, but I want to
convert only some of them to images.
Is there any way to do that? Even by converting the
requested pages one by one?

Maybe the way to go is:

pdf2ps -> ghostscript with page selection.

Then either ps2pdf or to deal with PS pages.
