| Hello,
|
| I have 16 bit greyscale TIFF images (actually 12 bits of
information
| into a 16 bit file) obtained from a CCD camera.
| I would like to map this onto a red-blue
"pseudocolour" gradient, e.g.
| in 24 bit rgb png, as my monitor only handles 8 bits of
greyscale and I
| would like to see the full dynamic range (as opposed to
just dumping 4
| bits).
| I have been playing around with the -map option and
generated gradients,
| but I can't figure it out.
|
| Any ideas on how to do this?
|
| Thank you very much,
|
You don't use a -map, but a color index color lookup table.
