unwanted cropping with convert

I beg indulgence for the repost; I realized
after sending it how stupid I had been in not
including a subject line.

Can anyone tell me how to correct the following
problem?

When I convert large jpg images to eps, the eps
image is severely cropped. When I include +size
+crop in the command line  the cropping is
slightly less severe, but still unacceptable.

I would appreciate any help with this.
