Well, that's the problem. I already have a specific font I
need to use
- and it's not inherently a small caps font. I can't use
another font,
it's a branding thing. But Photoshop can fake the small caps
with just
one button. I'm wondering if there's any way to do the same
trick in
IM.

I suppose it would take measuring the width of the initial
letter, and
then adding the rest of the word at a smaller font size an
appropriate
distance to the right, then doing the same for the next
word, etc.
Didn't know if there was a less painful way to accomplish
it.

Well, that makes it much clearer although (nothing personal)
it's nonsensical to 
insist on a font which does /not/ contain the characters you
wish to display 
).

I don't know of any other way. It would be nice if you did
this in such a way 
the resulting code was worth putting on CPAN...
