how about a game that trains guessing sine wave frequencies
in blocks?
like the program chooses a block, 440hz to 445hz, or any
user definable
range, lets you play each frequency using a button on the
keyboard.
then once the user feels ready, it would play the frequency
without
telling which it was, and the user has to press the
corresponding
button on his/her keyboard. frequencies would train you
muchhhhh better
than notes!!!!

sound
snippets on a consistent level, too.
