There is no doubt? That is what is so dangerous about the
claims made by the
greenhouse gas alarmists, they confuse people by overstating
the science. I
assume they have a positive intention for what they do, but
people who rely
on them to do the math, are poorly served.
In fact the most prestigious GHG model, Nasa's Goddard
Institute for Space
Studies' pride and joy, the GISS Model IE, fairly describes
their "state of
the art" shortcomings when compared to actual
observations as:
"ModelE [2005] compares the atmospheric model
climatology with actual
observations. Model shortcomings include ~25% regional
deficiency of summer
stratus cloud cover off the west coast of the continents
with resulting
excessive absorption of solar radiation by as much as 50
W/m2,
[50 WATTS PER METER SQUARED] deficiency in absorbed solar
radiation and net
radiation over other tropical regions by typically 20 W/m2
[20 WATTS PER
METER SQUARED], sea level pressure too high by 4-8 hPa in
the winter in the
Arctic and 2-4 hPa too low in all seasons in the tropics,
~20% deficiency of
rainfall over the Amazon basin, ~25% deficiency in summer
cloud cover in the
western United States and central Asia with a corresponding
~5 °C excessive
summer warmth in these regions... "
Remember the IPCC report said all global warming since the
beginning of the
industrial revolution amounted to 1.4 watts per square
meter[1.4 WATTS PER
METER SQUARED]. The world's best model for greenhouse gases
the GISS model
IE by their own admission shows "excessive absorption
of solar radiation by
as much as 50 W/m2, deficiency in absorbed solar radiation
and net radiation
over other tropical regions by typically 20 W/m2,"
Additionally, None of the
greenhouse gas models can accurately account for cloud
cover. How much does
cloud cover affect the temperature where you live?
Svensmark’s study from the Centre for Sun-Climate Research
at the Danish
National Space Centre published in the Proceedings of the
Royal Society A –
the mathematical, physical sciences and engineering journal
of the venerable
Royal Society of bond, has so far been largely ignored by
the media.
Though published in the prestigious Proceedings of the Royal
Society A, it’s
only been reported in The New Scientist (Oct. 7), Space
Daily (Oct. 6) and
the Daily Express (U.K., Oct. 6).
The media’s lack of interest hardly reflects upon the
importance of
Svensmark’s experiment so much as it reflects upon the
media’s and global
warming lobby’s excessive investment in greenhouse gas
hysteria.
Plus any thing we do to effect the greenhouse gases will be
immediately
undone because China is adding a new coal fired energy plant
every 3 days,
we haven't added one in 17 years.
Cheers, the good news is if the cosmic rays are the source
of the warming,
the catastrophes won't be anywhere as horrible as what has
been predicted by
the worst case greenhouse gas models because the GHG models
use a 2.5
amplication factor in their mathematical calculations and
the empirical
measurements have repeatedly demonstrated that 0.5 is the
correct ratio
which should be used, based on real life actual measurements
of the actual
physical environment.
