The Calm-Breathing Patterns ( http://www.winwen
ger.com/part28.htm and
part20.htm) are used for both, not only for temporary
relief. Once one is armed with
those patterns, he can go after root causes and recondition
stimuli to be
rewardingly informative instead of blindingly aversive. If
there are any
therapists on the list, I'd like to hear from them since
this is one of four types of
potential valuable therapy we'd like to get some case
studies worked with.

I have been running my own practice since 2000. Primarily
trauma release
through Body Transformation (Deep Tissue & Zen bodywork
- based on the
earlier forms of Rolfing, Structural Integration &
Postural Integration).
Also Reiki/Seichim Master and more recently incorporating
EFT (Emotional
Freedom Techniques) & WHH (Whole Hearted Healing -
regression based trauma
healing therapy). Not formally trained in breathwork but use
it myself.
