I have to note in this regard that it helps for you not to give additional
power to the factor you are trying to defend against. Putting up a wall for
defense, for example, may just focus the problem and make it stronger. "You get
more of what you reinforce." Better than a wall, better than a
"defend-against," would be to experience and cultivate within you a brighter and brighter
light. Light for its own sake, its own beauty and oh, parenthetically speaking,
getting it so bright and broadly-based that it just happens that no shadows can
exist near it. But that in parenthesis as an incidental by-product, not for
the sake of getting up a defense against shadow... ....win
