Hi,
and thanks for taking the time to get involved in this project, to
answer your questions, yes, I am aware of the time and effort that
making this game will cost, the good thing is that we are not working
to any deadline so the time factor does not really apply here, of
course, we would like to put something together asap but it not
essential, right now it is important to get the groundwork right and
the rest will follow from there.
As to why should anyone care to create something like this , well,
I am sure that everyone on this list has an interest in improving
their brains and minds, why else would they be on this list. That
alone should be reason enough to do some thinking and working on this.
the history attached to this is that, first of all I work as a
trainer and teach various courses all over the world, in the
classroom I have always made time to show the students some
techniques that would help them to remember and more importantly
undertand the subject I was teaching them, this would include some of
Wins techniques, several weeks later I would check back with the
students and found in every case that all students has stopped using
the techniques.
Another reason was that this list has over 2,000 people subscribed to
it and from time to time we get some newbies who always come to the
list asking the same basic questions, would ,nt it be great to be
able to enrol them in the game and let them work through it
themselves?
Of the 2,000 on this list only 6 people have partisipated in this
project, that is very sad, this project gives us all an opportunity
to flex out imagestreaming muscles, which ,after all ,is the main
theme of this list, yet, when challenged, so few took up that
challenge, why are the rest of the people on the list??
And another reason is that it is an attempt to get the word about
these techniques out to a greater audience, particularly in the
current climate where school and education is slipping down a big
black hole, this is an attempt to bring a new focus to a new
audience, to bring the techniques to a new audience who can then
develop them further and further, the current generation are the
computer generation and kids and most adults spend some of their time
playing games on their computers, so why not provide a game for the
gaming revolution and as they play they game they also learn.
I dis-agree with you that my ideas are unrealistic, I know they may
not be perfect, that is why it has been opened to the group to
contribute, everyone's opinion is valued, what I have proposed is
very do-able in todays world, if the computer technology is not
capable of performing as a live listener ,then through trial and
error we will teach it what to do and there will also always be an
option to use a real listener at any time.
The options available to us for this game is limitless, only our
minds and imaginations can make it better and better, and that after
all, is the purpose of this list.
Regards,
Noel
