thoreau said "the mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation" not emerson.
any way,
the universe is infinite, unbounded, but held within one moment,
singularity. held within one moment, this moment can be divided infinite
times. 0,1. the space between 0 and 1 is infinitely divisible. this is a
paradox. existence is a paradox, the best joke ever told.
it is deterministic in so far as all possibilites MUST BE expressed. that
has already been determined, is being determined, will be determined, etc.
it is free in so far as we can "choose" from among these infinite
possibilites. what you can achieve depends upon your determination (haha)
to achieve it.
