No idea. You should try, though. It won't hurt. Other people will be
more knowledgable in this area than me, though.

I wouldn't say so, no, as long as you focus on something that is in
fact creative. Also, don't confuse concentration with forcing. If you
sit down and force yourself to be creative, it won't work, but you can
still focus/concentrate on it.

Rejecting any incoming thoughts and images is necessary in many
situations, but when it's not, you shouldn't.

What do you mean? Ignoring other images and thoughts at times won't
diminish your image stream and/or creativity, but if you squelch a lot
of your subtle thoughts for any reason, image streaming will certainly
compensate for it.
