In fact, as I recall the subject of ImageStreaming
didn't come up, I was too interested in learning more
about Ertl's research about which I had read a decade
or so earlier and which I felt and feel was highly
significant.
Ertl's research long preceded the theory of Pole
Bridging, as did Donald O. Hebb's "neurons which fire
together wire together," but both certainly helped me
arrive at the PoleBridging theory.
One word of semi-wisdom is the observation that all of
Gardner's multiple intelligences, all of the various
cognitive styles and learning styles, seem expandable
by the same rules we associate with ImageStreaming:
noticing, picking up on and describing (or making
concrete responses to) initially subtle awarenesses,
reinforces not only those specific awarenesses but the
behavior of being aware - and the ability to handle
subtle matters. I don't see any real limit to the
consequences of applying those rules, nor to the
domains in which we may reasonably apply them.
