I just realized there is a sure-fire WAY to heighten
the ABILITY TO learn foreign languages.

The secret is clear if you examine Pole-Bridging
theory (http://www.winwenger.com/part73.htm) with this
issue in mind.

Is there a neurophysiologist on this list? If so,
this is the information we need from him:

1) What are the specific tissues in the brain which
are most involved in the process of acquiring a new
second language?

2) What are the specific tissues immediately adjacent
to those in # 1, and what are THEIR specific
identified functions?

Then it is a matter of building combination games and
activities, requiring coordination, between various of
the functions identified in # 2, thereby strengthening
connections and "building bridges" of communications
within the tissues identified in # 1.

Note: the reason Project Renaissance hasn't
development much in the way of direct methods for the
learning of foreign languages, is because of our
preoccupation with improving grasp of concepts,
whether in learning, in problem solving, in human
situations, the arts, athletics, science or academics.
Conceptual learning-with-understanding appears to go
in one direction; second-language learning with its
emphasis on memorization appears, initially at least,
to go in an almost opposite direction. What I suggest
here above, however, isn't a LEARNING method but a way
to strengthen the brain functions associated with the
brain-based ABILITY TO learn second languages.
