I think it's healthy not just for the brain but for the whole body.
And add release of bodily tension to mindfullness meditation and you
probably speed healing or enrich healing and promote better immune
function.
There have been many instances where I've been in physical pain and
I've just taken away bodily tension or relaxed the body and the pain
goes down or goes away entirely. It's like free pain medication that
works. So many over the counter pain pills are weak.
I think as a generally rule the more you naturally put the system at
ease the better will be recovery, healing, and prevention. But there
are many other things to consider too.
