Please advise--Mom cancer spreading & docs taking their time!!

Hi It's Me again.
  My mom's cancer is spreading very aggresively but we
cannot do any chemo.  
  As an update she was on abraxane 4times but had to stop
due to gall bladder removal and then fluid in that area and
then a drain to drain it out and now since the fluid is not
stopping they did a hida scan and said there is a leak and
will do a ERCP to put in a stint.  They can't do chemo till
two weeks after the the ERCP is performed.  WE saw the
Gastro Doc who is to do the ERCP and my mom and I begged him
to hurry and do this so that we can start chemo after two
weeks since the cancer is spreading.  He said he would and
to call his nurse last Friday to see what she had scheduled
the anasthesiologist since that is the tricky part where
they may have trouble scheduling one in a hurry.  I called
friday and she hadn't even called to try to schedule the
anesthesiologist.  So I begged her and she said to call on
Monday.  Over the weekend my mom has been miserable.  Her
breast hurts like hell and her rash under her arm is getting
worse and is also hurting.  She now has new
 lumps in her neck which we can feel.  She couldn't sleep
all nite friday and was crying all nite due to pain. 
Saturday I called the gastro doc and he said that he will
try to schedule her asap but even if we take her to the
hospital they will do nothing till monday or tuesday so
better to keep her home.  Her onc. said that he cannot do
anything about the cancer until the issue with the leak is
resolved and the best thing to do is to keep the pain in
control.  So we did and druged mom up with demerol.  She
hates to take pain killlers but she took it every 6 hours
without complaint.  
  Now I have to call the nurse today around 2pm to see if
she has scheduled anything.  I am so scared of what she is
going to say.  I am praying to God that this doesn't get
pushed further.  My mom keeps calling me asking me to tell
the docs to hurry up because her cancer is spreading.  I
don't know what to do but to cry and feel so alone and
helpless.
  I don't know if anyone is going to have the time to even
read this long and boring email but if you do, please pray
for us because I am really scared.

Rosy,

I really feel for you and the hard time that you and your
mother are having. 
The fact that we're all out here ready to offer support and
rooting for you 
can sometimes feel like no help at all.

All you can do is to keep doing what you're doing - support
your mother and 
try and look after yourself.

I truly hope that your news turns around sometime soon.

Know we are all here praying for you and your mom to get
some results FAST! You are doing everything you can by
insisting like you are. I know you are tired, frustrated and
at your wits end. I wish I could just give you a big HUG
right now to help you through this but a cyberhug and lots
of prayers going your way will just have to do. Keep us
updated on what the nurse says. You are not alone, just know
that...

  I've called the doc's office 5 times and left her two
messages, but still have not been able to get in touch with
the nurse.
  The doc's office is now closed for an hour for lunch.  I
will start calling them again in an hour.
  If she atleast gives me a date, I will be happy.  Even if
it's for two days later.
  But if she tells me that she still has nothing, then I
don't know what I'm going to do other than to start
crying. 
  I am so afraid to call my mom at home because I don't
have any answers.  Her first question will be "when do
I go for the procedure, my cancer is growing tell them to
hurry up".  I am telling them, but noone seems to care
or listen.

Maybe it would help to ask the oncologist to call the
gastroenterologist.
They aren't as likely to brush him off.
