Here is my caring bridge site http:

I have a pictorial history of my hair as it seems to have a
story of it's very own! I was uncomfortable with the wigs
also as they were HOT! I had my husband shave my head as I
couldn't stand it coming out anymore. The stubble was
fine...felt kind of like a Marine! I was big on scarves from
www.headcovers.com and wore those and baseball hats a lot
during the summer. It was a definite adjustment but seeing
it grow back now is really a treat!
Love,
Lori

Subject: Re: [ibc] Is Bald Really Beautiful?
Some people talked of shaving their hair before it falls
out. I
would advise a short hair cut instead because you may still
get
stubble if you are not at the exact point when the hair is
falling out.
When I was fitted for my wig I was given a stocking cap to
wear
inside. Eventually after I got used to it or after it
became more
supple from washing I did not need it.
My son made a point of talking pictures of me without my wig
or hat--
he really did think that bald was beautiful!
