Hi All,
Well last Christmas Eve 2005 - I had a heart tamponade &
they (Medicos) told my sister that I wouldn't probably
wouldn't last through Christmas day.
Well today I saw my onc. the Prof (that just what everyone
at the clinic calls him, there are other Professors there,
but he's the Prof) & he said I was Lazarus & the
reversal of my tumours is in his top 5 amazing turn-arounds.
That he has seen miracles with first time chemo patients
shrinking/dissolving tumour/s, but never this dramatic a
result with with someone who has been on a lot of chemo
& had quite advanced cancer & kilos ( pounds) of
tumour.
Well I was gob smacked to say the least and forgot to ask
him questions from the list. I was concerned because last
visit he said he would do follow up scans and I was
concerned about the uptake in my skull but today he said the
scans (CT) were purely for his own curiosity and it is my
decision if I have them or not.
He has reduced my taxol for the time being and it looks like
there might be a chance of going off it altogether and being
taken off palliative care schedule.
It's early days yet and I as going to take it one day at a
time for now.
One Christmas day I'm almost dead and buried the next I am
being compared with Lazarus?? Your guess is as good as mine.
