I on Taxol my signature is below. I am fortunate that it
worked for me I think that is why the Oncs. are so
surprised. Since  my pervious post -  Lottery ticket - (see
Archives)  - there have been posts replies where taxol
hasn't worked for others. 

I could write more but with the chemo brain it is really
hard for me at this moment to get my thoughts straight to
make sense.

Started with an itch, breast enlarged over a period of 6
weeks became hot,
> nipple inverted, peau d' orange of skin. 2x2 weeks of
antibiotics no change.
> Dx myself on www.ibcsupport.org - Officially DX July
2002

> Core biopsy July 10 right breast er+ pr+  her2  2+
staining (Dako)
> Skin Biopsy July 16 right breast er+ pr- skin
involvement Her2 1+ staining (FSH)
> 3 cycles of (every 3 weeks) FAC stopped treatment - my
choice
> No MRM due to skin involvement
> Recurrence 2003 still local
> A & T  A for 4 cycles - T for 6 Cycles
> 12 - Rads with bulbous - stopped treatment - my choice
> 2003- 2004 - chronic fluid retention, & increase of
appetite & lethargy -  put on 60 pounds
> 2005 April- DX Mets - to left breast - pericardial
infusion -drain July 
> 2005 - > drained again
> 2005 Christmas eve - heart tamponade - ICU incubated -
Operation - pericardial  window.
> Pulmonary drains both lungs for 3 weeks - avg 300 mls
per lungs per day
> Xeloda 3000 - 6 mths
> 2006 R lung tapped  - June
   2006 September Dx Lymphangitis of the lungs - R lung
Drained -
> weekly Taxol 130mls tumour shrinking & softening of
both breast, still 
> fluid in pulmonary, home oxygen
2006- October 3 weekly Taxol still 130mls one week off. Off
oxygen 
2007 - 3 weekly taxol 110mls one week off
