Dear Jean,
You are very fortunate to have had such a good experience
with surgery.
Also you were younger. I think the bottom line is that you
had chemotx AFTER
surgery. Some chemo. I think with IBC that some chemo is
needed. However,
now with avastin for angiogenesis (There is considerable
angiogenesis with
wound healing) that avastin could be used. I do not know
much about it. I know
that avastin cannot be used with kidney disease. I just
think that surgery
without chemo in an elderly lady with kidney and heart
disease is risky
compared to hormone therapy and maybe even radiation. I am
not a doctor or let
alone an oncologist. I am just trying to learn and make
sense of everything I
read to save my own life.
Thank you for your letter Jean.
