question about swelling under my arm

I agree with everything others have said but I would also
add that you could run
this past your phsiotherapist as well as your doc. 

The physio can help you with appropriate exercise to get
your arm and shoulder
moving after the op and will also be able to tell you if
there is any lymphodema
to worry about. This will give you peace of mind.

In my experience most doctors think of lymphodema as 'not a
very important
problem' but for those of us who have it until it is
managed properly it can be
a struggle. 

Talk to your doc about your swelling but also see a physio
to help regain full
arm movement and if it is lymphodema the earlier you treat
it you usually get a
better outcome.
