Barb has explained things very clearly -- and this has
pretty much been my
experience as well. Although, they could not do the surgery
on me, for the
reasons cited by Barb. I am on chemo again and it is my
hope, however, that I
can shrink the supra clav lymph node down so that either
surgery or perhaps,
proton therapy, would be an option. To date, my cancer has
been quite slow
growing so my thinking is that if we could get to a NED
status again, I should
have a good period of time when I might not have to be on
chemo. Having
said that, I do believe that chemo is pretty much the means
of controlling my
IBC.
