The focus will be to design, support and oversee interactive
development projects with the product and tech teams to
ensure the highest quality work is produced and the solution
is intuitive and user-friendly.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Assume responsibility for user interface based on input
from users, clients, account services and other
interactive/creative team members
• Develop documentation (content maps, wire frames, EDDs)
that is appropriate to each individual project
• Work directly with clients to help establish business
objectives, identify process improvements that could be
solved interactively and develop strategies, tactics and
final, required interactive executions to address those
needs
• Work with research team to incorporate usability testing
and conduct user surveys when appropriate; ensure user
interface is intuitive and easy-to-use for target audience
members
• Continually grow, learn and experiment with new and
innovative ways in which to solve client problems, and how
to turn those solutions into innovative interactive
executions
• Actively participate in client presentations (both
up-front fact finding meetings, as well as the presentation
of finished interactive strategies and executions)
• Work with new business to develop compelling, winning
interactive pitches for Fortune 500 companies when
appropriate
• Work closely with team members in maintaining the
interactive standards for the department, including design,
coding and usability, and enforce accountability when
standards are not met
• Oversee the testing of sites for functionality in
different browsers and at different resolutions
• Work with Technical Lead and Executive Producer to
ensure smooth workflow between groups
• Ensure internal and external deadlines are met
• Maintain a positive creative culture
• Continually assess new standards, technologies and
trends, including usability methodologies, multimedia
capabilities and process improvements; formulate strategies
and plans for future enhancement of web sites
• Attend industry conferences and training (web
development, user interface, usability, etc.)
• Utilize experience to plan and implement effective
interactive processes and products
• Ensure web sites are accessible from a variety of
different environments
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5-7 years' previous experience in web
development
• Attention to detail and ability to work within strict
deadlines
• Demonstrated interactive ability
• Strong writing and presentation skills and effective
client relations skills
• Working knowledge of web graphics creation and
manipulation optimized for palette, size, and speed of
download
• Fluency in Photoshop and Illustrator or Freehand, and an
ability to design HTML mockups in Dreamweaver required
• Expertise in current Internet standards, including web
browsers and browser specifications
• In-depth knowledge of one or more current web markups or
scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and
Illustrator is a plus
• Experience with Macromedia Director and Flash, streaming
audio and video is a plus
This position is full-time in New York City. Candidates
should be tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) residents and be authorized
to work in the USA (Citizen/GC holder)
