(love the quote mining approach, especially from someone
that recently
ranted about trees != forest 

Anyhow ... they are mixing together those two things, which
(the mixing) you
have claimed is a blight on the design industry.

so which is it?

    design + usability = a very prevalent form of blight

or 

    design + usability = best practice (heh!)

have you ever been called in to review someone else's
design? did you offer
only observations, or did you make design suggestions?
