| ISO an adjective |

|
2007-04-16 23:06:46 |
Sometimes you find an app or a utility that does everything
it's supposed to
do perfectly. It even delights you in unexpected ways.
Except there's one or two little things you wish it did that
it just doesn't
cover and it's driving you nuts.
What's the adjective that describes this software?
Anyone want to coin a new word, if none currently exists?

First a bit of classification:
Is this missing functionality something that bugs only you
and a few
other malcontents or is this a notorious issue among a broad
swath of
users?
If it's the latter, I'd call it 'bloody typical'.
If it's the former, I'd call it 'well-engineered', even were
_I_ the
one feeling inconvenienced (rather than a anarchist like
_you_).
Always best to leave the audience hungry for version 2.0,
after all.

Hi Ziya and everyone,
I'd call it a "Cinderella" software; the poor good
girl is only
missing the glass slippers to turn herself into a
princess...
All the best,

Some people might call it "less software". But
they must be craaazies!
P
