I'll be attending. We (here at the National Head Start Association) are working on expanding a program which provides computer learning stations, software, and training and technical support to Head Start programs. During the past few years, we have spent several million dollars (no federal dollars here) in a fairly small number of (several hundred) Head Start programs. We expect to take the program nation-wide (and to PR and the Trust areas) and I'll be at the conference fishing for ideas about possible funding sources and program models.
I realize the members of this list are involved with integrating technology into efforts to improve the lives of the many who live across the digital divide. I'd appreciate any opportunity to soak up their experiences won't hesitate to "borrow" their (your) models. Do you suppose there room for another breakout for us?
