(ISF) Re: Need DSL / LAN advice!!

A lot of DSL modems ship with a "filter" that
the instructions say you're supposed to plug the modem into
(it's often part of a splitter, one jack with a phone
filter, the other designated for the modem). It's really
just a pass-through, but I guess someone concluded that it
was easier to tell consumers to plug into the "DSL
Filter" than to NOT plug into any filter.
