Second, this message is directed toward staff who support the fundraising "back office," aka Development Operations, Development Services, Advancement Services, etc. Please forward this to staff who support areas like your donor/member database and gift/membership processing.
For the past several months over 2 dozen of your colleagues in the field of advancement and development services have been working diligently to form a new professional association that specifically focuses on who we are and what we do.
A mission statement has been drafted as well as an outline of goals. Several committees have been working on bylaws, marketing and branding, and various other issues.
We've had preliminary discussions with existing professional organizations whose work is complements ours, including CASE (the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education), AFP (the Association of Fundraising Professionals), APRA (the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement), and ADRP (the Association of Donor Relations Professionals).
Now we would like your help.
